Carla Greichen, MA CAGS LMHCOwner/Supervising Clinician
Carla has been steadily working in the field of psychology for the past 19 years. Carla has experience counseling in the following settings: hospital (psych inpatient and emergency room), private practice, agency, home-based, and child protection. As well as seven years of experience in research as a project director and interventionist for therapeutic research studies. Carla mainly uses CBT, Motivational Interviewing and Solution-focused techniques but also pull from a variety of techniques when working with clients in order to develop an individualized approach to treatment.

Emily Carey, LICSWSupervising Clinician
Emily provides supervision for clinicians at New Life Counseling. Emily combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Supportive Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Motivational Enhancement Therapy/Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in 5 Sessions (MET/CBT5). Emily has deep expertise in anger management and has developed a unique anger management curriculum to help clients control negative behaviors. In addition to her work with anger management, Emily helps individuals struggling with anxiety, trauma, and relationship issues.

Emily Dugas, LCSWClinician
With over 25 years of mental health experience, Emily understands that challenges are unique to everyone. Her goal as a clinician is to identify treatment methods that will be most beneficial in support of the client while they explore and discover the root of their concerns. Emily’s current focus is on individuals, couples, children, adolescents, and emerging adults.

Julie Taylor, M.Ed CAGS MHC-A
Julie is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in the field of mental health. Julie has made a profound impact on the lives of individuals, families and educators through 20 years of service as a school counselor and a decade of experience as a therapist. Her clinical expertise includes working with individuals grappling with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, relationship issues, ADHD, executive function challenges, parenting/family stress, and the unique stressors contributing to teacher burnout. Her therapeutic style is collaborative, drawing on a range of modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and solution-focused therapy.

Sarah Reid, MS MHC-A
New to Rhode Island, Sarah brings a unique blend of experience, including a background in theatre, elementary, and special education. This diverse foundation allows her to connect with clients in a creative and meaningful way, tailoring her therapeutic approach to meet the individual needs of each person she works with. Sarah’s goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered to explore their thoughts and emotions authentically. She specializes in working with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and grief, and has experience working with a diverse range of clients, including children, adults, and veterans.

Nicole is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges and build a path toward a better quality of life. Nicole takes a person-centered approach and draws on a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Informed Care. Whether addressing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, or other life stressors, Nicole is committed to helping clients feel seen, supported, and empowered every step of the way.
